Introducing: New Foundry Director, Natasha Butler

August 2023: The Foundry Moves On Campus!

The Foundry, Lincoln’s Youth Center is partnering with Western Placer Unified School District to set up two on-campus sites at GEMS and LHS/PHS this fall. This move will enable The Foundry to offer more age-specific programing to both middle and high school students. The on-campus locations will also dramatically increase student access to the mentoring, tutoring, recreation, and general relational support provided by The Foundry’s strong volunteer and staff teams. The Foundry looks forward to celebrating the beginning of its ninth year of serving Lincoln students in two new on-campus locations.

A PLACE TO BELONG

Since 2015, The Foundry has created a welcoming space for middle and high school students to belong. In this safe, after-school setting, kids are free to rest, play, cook, eat, create, learn, and grow within a community of their peers and caring adults.

CARING VOLUNTEERS

The fuel behind The Foundry’s impact is our solid team of volunteers who make a difference in the lives of students by building stable, trust-based relationships.

PURPOSEFUL MENTORING

As students participate in games, short-term projects, and academic tutoring, they’re encouraged to connect with mentors who guide them through progressive programs of individualized development. This personalized support helps build students’ character and confidence.

TUTORING AND NEXT STEP OPPORTUNITIES

The Foundry’s goal is to provide the support and tools needed for Lincoln’s students succeed in their next stage of life, whether that be college, technical school, or employment.
